Best Kept Secret

As the resident advice columnist and sole straight, male staffer, Avery Dunhill is Charm Magazine's best kept secret. When Daphne, a sweet woman with unfortunate taste and one of Avery's regular contributor's asks to meet him, his editor has him meet with her as himself along with a new assignment "Why Good Women Date Bad Men" and instructions to act like enough of an asshole that a woman should leave the relationship, but wouldn't.

Initially, Avery doesn't mind dating Daphne, even as his guilt over his piles of lies and withheld information grows. It isn't until Daphne writes into her old anonymous confidant about their relationship that Avery truly understands the enormity of the situation and is torn between going against his instincts and giving Daphne bad advice in order to keep dating her for his assignment or telling her to turn tail and risk losing the woman he's quickly falling in love with.

But what is love without full disclosure and will Daphne be willing to stay with Avery when she finds out the truth?
